I use Google Analytics to measure, in aggregate, which articles get read. You can accept or decline.
This blog uses Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which articles get read and how they are used: for example, whether people reach the end of an article or play the audio. The purpose is to improve what I publish.
To measure, Google stores measurement cookies in your browser. They identify your browser pseudonymously. I do not ask for your name or email to measure, and what I care about is grouped numbers, not individual people.
At the end of each article I ask "Was this article helpful?". Your answer is saved in your own browser so I do not ask twice. Only if you accepted measurement is that answer also sent to Google Analytics as "helpful" or "not helpful" for that article. If you declined measurement, the answer stays only in your browser and is not sent anywhere.
Your choice (Accept or Decline) is saved in your browser. You can change it anytime with the "Privacy and cookies" link at the bottom of the page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. If you decline, the blog works the same.
